Cutting back rhododendrons in the field
Garden team here still working hard in the cold – a big area of rhododendrons has been cleared down the fence line at the bottom of Beech Tree field (the one our beehives are in). This means we can get to the fence and repair it (ready for sheep to graze in the field soon) and it means more light can get through to the bluebells in the woodland below. It’s also allowed us to cut some bits ready to make pea sticks and plant supports and use some of the larger pieces of wood for logs for the fire and wood burner.
